Use this chasen (bamboo whisk for stirring matcha) to make frothy matcha. This is a handmade bamboo whisk with 100 bristles.
Chasen is a must-have tool for the Japanese tea ceremony. It is used to stir the matcha powder with hot water until these get mixed and become smooth and lathered in texture.
Instructions
For better safety, check whether there any of the bristles are broken before the first use.
When cleansing, rinse well with lukewarm water. Do not use detergent or alcohol; if you wish to sterilize the whisk, disinfect it with sunlight.
The more you use the whisk, the more its bristles get opened wide but rest assured that this is natural for the chasen.
Chasen is a consumable good: when its bristles get broken, become extremely dirty, or if a long time has passed since the last use, purchase a new one.
