This nama (raw) chocolate is the very first matcha confectionery that Itohkyuemon made. It is Itohkyuemon's origin and masterpiece.
Itohkyuemonâs matcha nama chocolate is a brick-shaped white chocolate flavored with beautiful, deep, green matcha powder that is selected and ground exclusively for this product.
The rich and sweet white chocolate pairs very well with the matcha, creating a perfectly balanced harmony of flavors. When eating this chocolate, you can enjoy a nice balance of creaminess from the white chocolate, and natural earthiness from matcha.Â
Every product is hand-wrapped with rich, green washi, which is a traditional Japanese paper. The washi is accented by gold foil, which makes it stand out as an elegant gift. The dark green coloring of the washi paper is meant to represent the color of matcha, and the gold is to highlight the productâs high quality.
A kuromoji, which is a wooden pick used for eating traditional Japanese sweets, is included in the box so that you can easily pick up and eat each delectable piece of the nama chocolate. You can experience and enjoy eating traditional Japanese sweets when eating this matcha nama chocolate.
Itohkyuemon is a Japanese tea shop established in 1832 in Uji, Kyotoâwhich is the heart of Japanese matcha productionâthat specializes in green tea and matcha sweets.
