This super fun pop-up onigiri mold from Akebono will turn making onigiri rice balls into a family affair.
Get the kids to help out in the kitchen with this unique Japanese gadget, and save food prep time by making six onigiri rice balls at a time! This simple onigiri mold has an embossed finish which prevents rice from sticking, and it's very easy to use.
The finished rice balls can then be topped with your favorite coatings, toppings and seasonings, adding to the fun!Â
Instructions
- Fill each of the triangular holes with cooked rice using the included rice scoop.
- Insert the top piece into the holes and press down to flatten the tops.
- Place the top piece inverted on a surface, and place the bottom piece (with rice) on top.
- Push down and watch your finished rice balls pop out of the mold.
